Qatar Passport Ranks 48th Globally With Access to 112 Destinations

A stronger passport means easier journeys. Qatar has achieved a notable position in the latest Henley Passport Index 2026, ranking among the world’s most powerful passports and reflecting the country’s growing global connectivity.

The ranking places the Qatari passport at 48th worldwide, with citizens able to access 112 destinations through visa-free or visa-on-arrival arrangements. The index measures passport strength based on travel access across countries and territories around the world.

Qatar also secured the second-highest position among GCC countries, highlighting the increasing mobility available to Qatari citizens for international travel.

The Henley Passport Index evaluates 199 passports across 227 travel destinations, making it one of the recognised global rankings for passport strength.

This latest ranking showcases Qatar’s expanding global reach and the travel opportunities available to its citizens.
